Deep cleaning is different from regular or spring cleaning because it reaches the deep grime and dirt in your home. While general cleaning is great to maintain cleanliness, there are always some items that could benefit from a little extra TLC every now and then. Deep cleaning covers areas which aren’t traditionally covered by a regular or spring clean for example:

  • Scale removal from all bathroom tiles, kitchen tiles, taps, shower heads etc
  • Full and deep dusting including all the all the corners of rooms for cobwebs
  • Improved sanitation by disinfecting items that are not frequently cleaned (oven, microwave, fridge)
  • Carpets, upholstery and fabrics can also be deep cleaned to remove stains, stubborn dirt and allergens

On the other hand, general cleaning consists of the basic cleaning tasks that help to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of an area. Common general cleaning tasks include:

  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Vacuuming
  • Cleaning bathrooms – sink, mirror, bath and toilet
  • Tidying up
  • Cleaning the kitchen – wiping down work surfaces, cupboard doors, hob etc
