Once again seeing a need in the community as the colder weather bites into the hearts and limited finances of the most needy, the Kallvest Group stepped forward with a R2000 cash donation to help the local Frederic Place Home for the Aged.

Based in Johannesburg, the Frederic Place Home for the Aged has been in operation since the 1970’s when it was established by Frederic Ozanam of the Society of St Vincent de Paul. It became a beacon of hope for all it stands for and the many aged people the home has assisted through the decades. Today, it is a haven for the elderly, providing a place of refuge for its 85 residents but as times get tougher it is now this home, which is a registered NPO, which now requires help and donations to assist its residents.

“We thank the Kallvest Group for their generous donation in assisting us care for our residents, whose lives will be directly influenced for the better by this donation,” commented Denise Foley, Director of Frederic Place Home for the Aged.

Situated in Fourways, Johannesburg and servicing the greater Johannesburg and Pretoria regions, Kallvest has grown from strength to strength since opening its doors in 2001. Specialising in residential and corporate security and cleaning options, the company provides gainful employment for more than 1000 individuals.

“We are pleased to be in a position to help the Frederic Place Home for the Aged and wish Denise and her staff all the best in their fund raising efforts for their old age home. Too often people forget about the elderly and the tough times they face on a daily basis trying to make ends meet. If we could make it better for them, for even a while, our mission was accomplished,” commented Pierre van Wyk, Managing Director of the Kallvest Group.
